W. Campbell Edmonds & Clinch Valley Concert Series

Acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, composer, and genre-defying artist Julius Rodriguez is set to take the stage for an unforgettable performance on Thursday, May 1st at 7 p.m. in the Gilliam Center for the Arts Black Box Theater at The University of Virginia’s College at Wise. Known for his seamless blend of jazz, hip-hop, R&B, and gospel, Rodriguez continues to transcend perceived boundaries between genres and styles, redefining music to mirror his own fluid creative inclinations, and delivering a sound that's his alone. Rodriguez will perform alongside saxophonist Emilio Modeste, bassist Brandon Rose, and drummer Jaylen Petinaud—each bringing their unique artistry and energy to the stage.

Following the performance, audience members are invited to stay for an intimate Q&A session with Julius Rodriguez and his band, offering a behind-the-scenes look at their creative process and musical journey. Reservations are encouraged as venue seating is limited.

**Please Note: The afternoon lecture/demonstration has been canceled.

This engagement of Julius Rodriguez is made possible in part through the Jazz Touring Network of Mid Atlantic Arts with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
