​High Knob Outdoor Fest (Aug. 10-18, 2024) is a weeklong celebration highlighting the region’s abundant outdoor adventures; offering outdoor trips, activities, and presentations focused on getting more people outdoors. The festival culminates with a celebration in downtown Norton (Aug. 17, 4-9 p.m.), featuring outdoor and artisan vendors, food trucks, craft beer/wine, outdoor activities, demos, and live music by Bristol Lightning, The Hubcap Thieves, and Mood Ring. We're proud to be a co-sponsor of the festival and, alongside our partners at the City of Norton, participate in the local arts traditions of our region. COMMUNITY JAM SESSION | 4:00 p.m.
Picking on the Porch Community Jam Session starts at 4 p.m. All ages and instruments welcome to this informal community jam session. ​

MOOD RING | 5:00 p.m.
Whether you’re looking for laid-back sophistication or soul-shaking groove, Asheville, North Carolina based Mood Ring captures and reflects a spectrum of sounds and emotions to make your evening unforgettable.
Their diverse musical offerings include many radio hits from the 90s/2000s as well as classic R&B, soul, and vintage jazz, and an ever-increasing range of styles from Brazil, France, and most recently, Cuba.​​

BRISTOL LIGHTNING | 6:30 p.m.
Bristol Lightning is the baby of cellist Dave Eggar. He’s a student of the great American composer Aaron Copeland and the legendary cellist Yo Yo Ma. From Aaron Copland to American roots music, blues, bluegrass, and beyond, Bristol Lightning’s live shows take the audience on a high-energy adventure of bluegrass cello and mandolin, blues guitars, tap dance, and storytelling, weaving a powerful and poignant tapestry of the true creativity and resilience of the American spirit.​

THE HUBCAP THIEVES | 8:00 p.m.
The Hubcap Thieves will serve up all your favorite classic rock and blues hits. Hailing from Unicoi County, Tennesse, The Hubcap Thieves are Erika Barker (vocals), Robert Arrowood (guitar and vocals), and Michael Johnson (bass).
